DAY 9: JAIPUR

Namaste, everyone.

Our day started at 8.00 am with breakfast and rosette spray. As in our breakfast accommodation can not be bringing the day of fasting until we have reached to Amber Fort where we had breakfast in a dive that you have to imagine, some sandwichises vegetables and coffee. Well after the strong input if you wanted you could go on an elephant but the bullshit of 10 minutes cost 550 rupees and finally drive good climbs well and does not smell as bad as the animal in question, really cool to see the elephants since all have tatoos in the tube. The entrance to the fort has cost us 100 rupees each (camera included). The fort is well worth it and is quite large and well maintained throughout with views of the entire beautiful valley. We have been around 3 ½ hours and quite warm inside, I put some history for you to know a little more this place: Amber Fort is a palatial complex located in Amber, 11 km. of Jaipur (in Rajasthan state , India ), was originally built by the Meenas , who devoted the city to Amba, the Mother Goddess which they knew as "Gatta Rani" or " Queen of the Past ". Built on the remains of an earlier structure, the palace complex that remains today was begun during the reign of Raja Man Singh, Commander Army Chief of Akbar's inner circle and a member of the "9 courtiers" in 1592. Amber was modified under successive leaders in the next 150 years, until the Kachwahas moved their capital to Jaipur during the time of Sawai Jai Singh II.
The structure is now known as Amber Fort was originally a palace complex within the original Amber Fort is now known as Fort Jaigarh. Connected to Amber through fortified passages, Jaigarh Fort is located on a hill above the Amber complex, and is built with red sandstone and white marble. Maotha overlooking the lake, is reputed to have been the treasure of Kacchwaha leaders. Today, tourists can climb the fort from the base of the hill on elephant back. During the ride, you can admire the beautiful views of Jaipur, the lake Maotha and the original city wall.
Upon reaching the palace, you can visit the fort on a guided tour or do it yourself. The visit most magnificent of all is the hall of mirrors. When royalty lived in this place, at night, when they needed to go through this journey, it took a single candle, and thanks to the intricate pattern of tiny mirrors, the whole room lit up.

Chaman From here our friend brought us to a palace called Maigarh strong inside that was up on the mountain and had a views across Jaipur has cost us 30 rupees per person + 10 rupees of our bogey. To say that Jaipur is a huge city, very large in extent and with 3 million people (almost as Buniel). We visited the complex without further mention the views.

You start to notice that they are in Rajasthan EMPE zamos to see camels pulling carts instead of buffaloes or cows.

From here we went to eat, Chaman has led us to a restaurant that serve food have asked India not because we Thalis to the ears, it is that we wanted to eat meat (do not be evil minded) . When we entered, SURPRISE, we met with our friend we met in Varanasi Galician. We have been eating with and talking about India and our little adventures as well as on similar things have happened to ours. We ate rice with vegetables and chicken (96 rupees each) ......... of emotion Beatriz almost gets to mourn ..................................... From here we gone to see the palace of the city but not before our friend Chaman tried to stop and shopping but we have said nooooooooo and only looking, please see someone searches as you said noooooooooo and understand. The City Palace is a building that is fine but that the most interesting is the museum that houses and especially the arms but not to guess: you can not take pictures. We struggled to get 200 rupees each and is something that if you're pressed for time does not deserve punishment too. A little history on this palace in the heart of Old Town, the City Palace (City Palace) occupies a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. The outer wall was built by Jai Singh, but other parts are much more recent, some turn of the century. The current palace is a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The former Maharaja still resides in a section of the building. The Chandra Mahal, seven floors, is the center of the palace and offers beautiful views over the gardens and the city. On the ground floor and first floor of the Chandra Mahal is the Museum of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. The units are beautifully preserved, and the museum has an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamelware and old weapons.

The paintings include miniatures of Rajasthani schools, Mughal and Persian. Library of guns and swords dating back to the fifteenth century, and many of the ingenious and delicate arms that brought fame to the Rajput warriors. Section taught textile suits and dresses and maharanis former Maharajas of Jaipur. Other sites of interest in the palace are the Diwan-i-Am, or 'Public Hearing Room, "with its intricate decorations and manuscripts in Persian and Sanskrit, and the Diwan-i-Khas, or" Private Audience Hall " a gallery with marble slabs. There is also a clock tower and the latest Mubarak Mahal. Outside the buildings, you will see a huge pot in which a maharaja used to carry water in their trip to England. Was a Hindu as devotee who was able to take in English water.

From here like this at hand we have been walking to the Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory that he built the palace Maharaja and we have not entered it cost 100 rupees each one and it looked pretty good from the outside. Later you're walking with the Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds, the most interesting is the facade through a friend who knew English indu found quickly. Our friend has been very sympathetic and it took only 10 minutes of trying that we bought something at the store of his brother. But we have to thank that we have been taught palace.

We draw much attention do working women everywhere to carry everything with the head, just like children working at all.

From here to our daily routine of trying to connect to the internet each day is more desperate, when there is no USB port, the computer is going slow, but there is no light and fate. ................

We put here a picture of our car because we wanted to have put the other day has not been, as you see it is very cool.

At 8 were in our guest house, but the Indian girl did not appear. The Filipinos were talking a while and we exchanged addresses ....... who knows ........ After the parade we've been seeing a wedding, the groom's family, the parade of the bride's family is on the other hand, then both processions are held where the banquet. Most curious of all is that the sides of the party people go with a head lamps connected by cables to each other and at the end of all is a fregonetilla with a generator, is a reed, the groom is on a horse and a little more to tell. After
have been looking for somewhere for dinner and ended in a kind of supermarket, bakery and a thousand things more and have asked for a loaf of bread pizza in 25 rupees and a kind of hamburger which should be the meat had a slice fried potato 15 rupees, it was all good but spicy.
And with that we have returned to the guest and we have been casting a war ships and Beatriz lost again (I am told that does not leave India without the win, so I've already said to be calling his boss to say it will take to return
.....) PS: Joaquin certainly look to see how you can retrieve data from a hard drive, I took a folder indicates that 2 gigs but open do not show up, tell me that you can retrieve the pictures, leave me alone I'm in a free living, as the pictures of half the trip I can not see, I think the problem has come for the card from the camera, format as yesterday and already so good, but the remainder transferred to the external drive I do not see them.

Kisses and hugs you please according to you the deal.
